A portrait session is a planned, two-hour shoot built around you — full body and three-quarter framing, props and styling, multiple lighting setups, and a real conversation before we shoot. Creative consultation before we shoot
We talk through what the images are for, wardrobe, and any props worth bringing. This is the part that makes the photos feel like you instead of a set of poses.
Full body, three-quarter, and headshots
Different framing needs different lighting and more space. A portrait session is built for that range, so you leave with images that work for more than one purpose.
Props, styling, and multiple setups
Bring the guitar, the tools, the jacket. We plan the lighting around what you bring rather than fitting you into whatever is already up.
One retouched image included
Same as every session I run: your session includes a retouched image, and you add any others you want afterward at $85 each. No package to squeeze into.

What is the difference between a portrait session and a headshot session?
A headshot session is $249 and does one job well: a clean, professional photo of you from the shoulders up, in about an hour. A portrait session is $499 and is a bigger, planned shoot — two hours, full body and three-quarter framing as well as headshots, props and styling, multiple lighting setups, and a creative consultation before we shoot. Both include one retouched image with additional images at $85 each, so the difference in price is the shoot itself, not the number of photos.
How much does a portrait session cost?
A portrait session is $499 and includes one retouched image. After your shoot you choose any additional images you want at $85 each. There is no package to squeeze into, so you only pay for the images you will actually use.
What happens in the creative consultation?
Before your shoot we talk through what the images are for, what you want them to say about you, wardrobe options, and any props or styling worth bringing. It usually takes about 20 minutes and it is the reason a portrait session produces images that feel like you rather than a generic set of poses.
Do portrait sessions include full body shots?
Yes. Full body and three-quarter framing are a core part of a portrait session, along with tighter headshot crops. That variety is a real part of what you are paying for — full body needs different lighting, more space, and wardrobe planning, which is why it is not part of a standard headshot session.
How long is a portrait session?
About two hours in the studio, plus the creative consultation beforehand. That time covers multiple lighting setups, wardrobe changes, and both full body and headshot framing without rushing any of it.
Should I book a portrait session or a branding session?
Book a portrait session if you want striking images of yourself. Book a branding session if you need a library of marketing content for your business — environmental shots, your workspace, details, and lifestyle images you can post and publish for months. Portrait is about you; branding is about your business having enough to say.
Can I bring props or specific outfits?
Please do. Instruments, tools of your trade, a jacket that means something to you, anything that says who you are. We plan this together in the consultation so nothing gets left in the car and we know how to light it before you arrive.
I have never done a shoot like this. Will it be awkward?
Most people feel that way walking in. I coach you through posing and expression the whole time, and you see everything live on a tethered screen as we go, so nothing is a surprise. Two hours also means there is no pressure to get it right in the first five minutes.
