Use a before/after slider image or carousel (before on slide 1, after on slide 2). The Jordyn retouch example works great.
What to wear for your headshot (save this for later) 👇 ✅ Solid, medium-toned colors — navy, charcoal, emerald, burgundy ✅ Well-fitted clothing that looks intentional ✅ 2–3 outfits for variety ❌ Busy patterns or stripes ❌ Neon or oversaturated colors ❌ Large logos or graphics Pro tip: Navy is my personal favorite. It works on any background and photographs beautifully every time. Free prep guide — link in bio.
Carousel: Slide 1 = bold text "What to Wear for Your Headshot", Slides 2-5 = color swatches or example headshots showing solid colors vs patterns. Pull from the prep guide.

I've shot 100+ professional headshots. Here are 3 mistakes I see over and over: 1. Using a selfie or phone photo Your phone camera distorts your face. A professional lens and lighting make you look like you — just polished. 2. Wearing busy patterns Stripes, plaids, and loud prints distract from your face. Solid colors (especially navy) photograph clean and keep the focus where it belongs. 3. Waiting for the "right time" There's no perfect moment. If your headshot is more than 2 years old or doesn't look like you anymore, it's costing you opportunities now. I'm Jose Lara, a headshot photographer in Camarillo, CA.
